Windows 8 Portable Workspace Will Enable You To Run Windows From USB Drive

Windows 8 Build 7850 leaked just earlier this week and the Windows enthusiasts are already digging deep inside to find out about the new features it has to offer.

We have just learnt about a new feature that Windows 8 will offer to it’s Enterprise users: Portable workspaces. You can now run Windows 8 from a removable storage such as your USB drive. The description of this new feature reads

Portable Workspace is a Windows feature that allows you to run Windows from a USB storage device,

This however will require at least a 16 gigs of space so you probably can’t get it on your USB flash drives. You’d rather want to go ahead with a removable hard-disk. This can have various applications such as debugging and secondary boot in case of failure of the primary windows on the local machine. This may also provide features to those who deal with specific applications and document types which aren’t widely used across all the Windows users.

One thing is for sure, Microsoft is really experimenting with new features to bring in a better user-experience.
